Artist Statement

Working with a variety of techniques and textures, A.E. Dickens explores space through the isolation or crowding of objects and images. Using both vivid and more neutral palettes, Dickens approaches images that exhibit immediacy; seeking to address the individual's perspective, isolation or relationship to place without editorial conceit.
